Community
Education Program
Our Community Disaster education program
offers free presentations that can be tailored to
meet the interests and availability of the group.
Presentations are interactive and age appropriate.
The
following are examples of our most requested disaster
presentations:
- Creating a family disaster plan and disaster
supplies kit.
- Disaster services in action: how the Red Cross
responds to disasters, services we provide and ways
for community members to get involved.
In addition to presentations, the Mid-Fairfield
County chapter can also provide disaster preparedness
brochures.
Our current policy is that non-profit
organizations, faith communities and schools can receive
up to 500 brochures at no-charge. Above that amount
we may request nominal reimbursement to help cover
the cost of shipping.
